1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cubbie ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users, including those who submit content or purchase in-app items.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cubbie. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. Cubbie is intended primarily for parents and caregivers seeking kid-friendly places.
3. Account Responsibility
Cubbie uses Google Sign-In for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
4. Free App and Advertising
Cubbie is free to download and use. The free version includes advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free version, you consent to the display of these ads.
We strive to keep ads unintrusive and family-appropriate. We do not control the specific ads served by AdMob, but you may report any inappropriate ads to us at support@mycubbie.com.
5. In-App Purchase: Remove Ads
Cubbie offers a one-time in-app purchase to permanently remove ads. This purchase:
- Is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store
- Is non-refundable except as required by Apple's standard refund policy
- Is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on other devices via "Restore Purchases"
- Does not unlock any additional features beyond ad removal
All billing disputes must be directed to Apple, as we do not process payments directly.
6. User-Submitted Content
Cubbie allows users to submit kid-friendly locations for community review. By submitting content, you:
- Represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- Grant Cubbie a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use the submitted content within the app
- Agree not to submit false, misleading, duplicate, or inappropriate content
All submissions are reviewed by a Cubbie admin before going live. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any submission at our discretion.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, spam, or malicious location data
- Attempt to circumvent admin review or security measures
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute app content without permission
- Abuse the voting or issue reporting systems
Violations may result in removal of your submitted content and termination of your access to the app.
8. Privacy
Your use of Cubbie is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimers
Cubbie is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any location listed in the app. Community-submitted content reflects the opinions of individual users, not Cubbie's endorsement. Always use your own judgment when visiting any location with your children.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cubbie and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to reliance on location data submitted by users.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Cubbie for any user who violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.
